The Voice Problem in EVE

Massive fleet battles demand instant coordination. EVE Voice was retired in 2018 — external tools are mandatory.

No In-Game Voice Chat

EVE Voice was discontinued — Discord, Mumble, or TeamSpeak is mandatory for any competitive alliance

Multiple FC Channels

Main FC, Capital FC, EWAR FC, and Logistics FC need to coordinate across separate wing channels

Coalition Fragmentation

Allied alliances in separate Discord servers can't hear the same FC coordination during bloc wars

Built for Every EVE Battle

From sovereignty warfare to wormhole brawls, ShotCaller scales with your coalition's coordination needs.

Sovereignty Warfare

Bloc-level fights with 100-200+ pilots per side battling for nullsec territory control using Entosis modules

TiDi Mega-Battles

Time-dilated battles with 2000-6000 pilots where voice coordination becomes even more critical as everything slows down

Wormhole Fights

Intense brawls in J-space with mass-limited fleets where once the hole collapses, no reinforcements are coming

EVE Online Fleet Coordination FAQ

Common questions about using ShotCaller for EVE alliance operations

Why do EVE alliances need external voice chat?

CCP retired EVE Voice in March 2018 because only 0.4% of players used it — everyone was already on Mumble, TeamSpeak, or Discord. Running a competitive alliance without external voice is impossible. During fleet ops, you can't type commands while managing brackets and modules. ShotCaller takes your existing Discord setup and broadcasts your FC to all wing channels simultaneously.

How many wing channels do I need for fleet ops?

It depends on your fleet composition. Most alliances run separate channels for Main Fleet, Capitals, EWAR, Logistics, and Scouts. A 200-pilot sovereignty fight might need 6-8 channels. Our plans range from 4 channels ($5/mo) up to 24 channels with cross-server relay ($25/mo for the Alliance plan).

Can ShotCaller work across multiple Discord servers for coalition ops?

Yes! Our Alliance plan ($25/month) is specifically designed for this. You can broadcast voice across 2 Discord servers simultaneously — perfect for bloc warfare where multiple alliances coordinate during sovereignty campaigns. Your coalition partner gets 12 speaker channels completely free.

How does the FC priority system work?

You can assign Discord roles as primary and secondary FC. When your primary FC speaks, their voice takes priority and broadcasts to all channels. If they're silent, the secondary FC (Capital FC, EWAR FC, etc.) can give commands. This mirrors EVE's traditional command structure with Main FC taking precedence.

Will there be any delay during TiDi battles?

The delay is imperceptible — under 100ms. Your commands reach all wing channels essentially in real-time. In TiDi battles where game time slows to 10%, voice coordination actually becomes MORE critical since your commands need to reach everyone before the next module cycle.

Does ShotCaller work alongside EVE fleet tools?

Absolutely. ShotCaller focuses purely on voice coordination — we don't do fleet composition tracking, doctrine management, or PAP links. Tools like SEAT and auth systems handle those aspects. Many alliances use ShotCaller for voice alongside their existing IT infrastructure. They complement each other perfectly.

Can I change wing channel assignments during a fleet op?

You can update channel assignments from your ShotCaller dashboard at any time, and changes take effect immediately. However, most FCs set up their channels before the fleet forms. The bot handles the routing — you focus on calling primaries.

Is there a free trial to test with my alliance?

Yes! Every plan includes a 7-day free trial with full features. Set it up before your next CTA or stratop and experience the difference unified voice command makes. No credit card required to start.
