Aion 2 Discord: Official Servers, Legion Setup and Voice Comms

Aion 2 launched globally on October 5, 2026, through Steam and NC's PURPLE launcher, with servers for North America, South America, Europe and Asia. If you searched for "aion 2 discord," you probably want one of two things: the official server for news and patch notes, or a working setup for your own legion's voice comms.

This guide covers both. It lists the official and community Aion 2 Discord servers, explains why legions run their own, lays out a channel structure built around Aion 2's 5-player parties, and shows how to get one shotcaller heard in every party channel at once. If you already know you need voice relay for your legion, the Aion 2 page covers how ShotCaller works for forces and artifact sieges.

The Official and Community Aion 2 Discord Servers

The official Aion 2 Discord is AION 2 Global (Official), run for the global PC release. The largest player-run server is AION 2 Community. Both are large, active servers, and most players join one or both for announcements, class discussion and legion recruitment.

Server Invite Good for
AION 2 Global (Official) discord.com/invite/aion2official Official announcements, maintenance notices, patch notes, support channels
AION 2 Community discord.com/invite/aion2 Player discussion, guides, legion recruitment, trading talk

A few practical notes before you join:

  • Check the invite. Copycat servers are common around big launches, so use the invites above or one posted on NC's own channels, and be suspicious of any "official" server you reach through a random DM.
  • Never share account details. No real staff member will ask for your NC account password or a login code in Discord.
  • Turn down notifications early. Large servers move fast, so set the server to mentions only and follow just the announcement channels you care about.

Neither server is built for running your legion's fights. Their voice channels, if any, are open lobbies. For organized PvP, every serious legion sets up its own server.

Why Aion 2 Legions Run Their Own Discord

Aion 2 does have voice chat. The party panel includes mic and speaker toggles, and in-game voice works per party. That's fine for a 5-player group running content together.

Legion content is bigger than one party. Parties hold 5 players (NC raised the cap from 4), and a force joins up to 4 parties for 20 players. Sanctuary raids take 10, and a legion that sends more than one force to a siege needs more again. There's no evidence of force-wide or legion-wide in-game voice, so a shotcaller in party chat only reaches the four people in their own party.

Discord fills that gap, along with the things a legion needs outside of fights:

  • Scheduling. Siege nights, Sanctuary raid signups and Abyss roams, often managed with an event bot like Raid-Helper.
  • Roles and permissions. Officers, party leaders, members and recruits each see and do different things.
  • Recruitment. Applications, trial periods and a place to vet new members before they join the legion in-game.
  • Persistent text. Strategy notes, rotation plans and screenshots that don't scroll away like in-game chat.

Fan guides also report that Korean legions mostly coordinate on Discord rather than the in-game legion channel.

Size is the other reason. Fan guides report that legions can hold up to 128 members (NC hasn't published an official number). Even a legion a fraction of that size needs more structure than a single voice channel.

A Legion Discord Layout That Works for Aion 2

Two facts shape the layout. Legions belong to one faction, Elyos or Asmodian, on one server. And your fights are organized in parties of 5 that combine into forces of 20. Build your channels around both.

Text channels

Keep #announcements read-only for everyone except officers. Put the siege calendar, raid times and any rule changes there so members never have to scroll through chat to find them.

A dedicated #siege-schedule channel helps because artifact siege times are fixed in server time. Fan guides report sieges run three times a week, on Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 21:00 server time. Post the times in your members' local time zones and confirm them in-game, since schedules can change with patches.

Recruitment works best in its own category. Applicants get access to #apply-here and #recruit-chat only. Once accepted in-game, an officer assigns the Member role and the rest of the server opens up.

Faction and server naming

Put the faction and game server in the Discord server name and in your recruitment post, for example "[Asmodian] Server Name, Legion Name." Players searching for a legion filter by these two things first, and it stops applicants from the wrong side wasting an officer's time.

If your community runs legions on both factions, give each faction its own category and lock it with a faction role. Elyos and Asmodians are on separate servers and fight each other, so keep siege plans visible only to the side that needs them.

The voice category

The voice category is where most legions get it wrong. A few rules:

  • Size party channels to 5. Set a user limit of 5 on each party channel (Edit Channel, then User Limit). Your Discord parties then match your in-game parties, and nobody drifts into the wrong one.
  • Four party channels per force. One force is four parties, so four channels cover it. If you field two forces, add Party 5 to 8, or name them Force A Party 1 to 4 and Force B Party 1 to 4.
  • A locked shotcaller channel. Only the shotcaller, a backup caller and officers can connect. Use channel permission overrides so the lock holds even when someone has a broad role.
  • A 10-player channel for Sanctuary raids. Raids take 10 players, so a separate channel with a limit of 10 keeps raid nights out of the PvP channels. The same channel works for a 10-player arena team, since arenas are 10v10.
  • A staging lobby. Everyone gathers here before a siege. Officers assign parties, then members move to their party channel.

Roles

Discord role What it can do
Legion Leader / Officer Manage channels, Move Members, Mute Members, connect to Shotcaller
Shotcaller Connect and speak in Shotcaller, start and stop the voice relay
Party Leader Priority Speaker in party channels, for talk-back to the shotcaller
Member Connect and speak in party channels and lobby
Recruit Recruitment channels and lobby only

Discord's voice channel FAQ covers user limits and channel settings if you haven't set them up before.

How to Get One Shotcaller Into Every Party Channel

With four party channels, you have a new problem. The shotcaller sits in one channel, and Discord only lets a person be in one voice channel at a time. Parties 2, 3 and 4 can't hear the call.

The usual workarounds all cost time in a fight. Party leaders repeat every call into their own channel, so the order arrives late and sometimes changed. Or everyone piles into one 20-person channel and loses party-level chatter, which turns comms into noise.

ShotCaller fixes this with voice relay. The shotcaller speaks in the shotcaller channel, and ShotCaller plays that voice into every connected party channel at the same moment, with latency under 100ms. Members stay in their own party channel, keep talking to their party, and install nothing. They hear the call through a speaker bot in their channel.

Setup steps

  1. Sign in with Discord. Open the ShotCaller dashboard, sign in with your Discord account and select your legion's server.
  2. Pick the shotcaller channel. Choose the locked Shotcaller voice channel as the source.
  3. Pick the party channels. Select Party 1 to 4 (or more, depending on your plan) as speaker channels.
  4. Pick the roles. Choose which roles count as shotcallers and which can start the relay. You can set a primary and a secondary commander: when the primary speaks, they take priority.
  5. Invite the bots. The dashboard walks you through adding the ShotCaller bots to your server.
  6. Type /start in Discord. The relay goes live. Run /status to check it and /stop when the fight is over.

The ShotCaller setup guide covers each step with screenshots, and the configuration docs explain every dashboard option.

Let party leaders talk back

Voice relay carries calls out. Party leaders also need to send information back: an enemy force coming through a rift, a healer down, a party out of position. With Talk-Back, a party leader holds Discord's Push to Talk (Priority) key, and their voice reaches the shotcaller channel as well as their own party. Normal push-to-talk stays inside the party. The Talk-Back guide explains the keybinds and permissions.

Which plan fits your legion

Legion size Party channels Plan Price
One force (20 players) 4 Squad Leader $5/month
Two forces 8 Raid Commander $8/month
Three forces 12 Guild Master $15/month
Allied legions on two Discord servers 24 across both servers Alliance $25/month

Every plan includes a 7-day free trial. The allied server on the Alliance plan doesn't need its own subscription. See pricing for the full comparison.

Common Mistakes When Setting Up an Aion 2 Legion Discord

One big voice channel for everyone. It works for a social evening. During a siege, 20 open mics bury every call. Split into party channels and relay the shotcaller.

Party channels with no user limit. Without a limit of 5, channels drift out of sync with in-game parties, and party leaders end up talking to the wrong people.

No backup caller. Shotcallers disconnect, die early or lose their voice. Assign a secondary commander role before siege night, not during it.

Recruits in the PvP channels. Keep trial members in the lobby or a dedicated party until they've learned your call style.

Siege times posted only in server time. A global legion spans time zones. Post local times and pin them.

Planning Bigger Fights

Once the basic layout works, two follow-ups help. For siege nights and Abyss roams, read Aion 2 Legion PvP: Shotcalling Artifact Sieges and Abyss Fights, which covers comms roles, force structure and callout discipline. If your legion fights alongside another legion that has its own Discord server, read Aion 2 Alliance Voice: One Shotcaller Across Allied Legions and the cross-server voice guide.

FAQ

What is the official Aion 2 Discord server?

The official server is AION 2 Global (Official), at discord.com/invite/aion2official. It carries announcements, maintenance notices and patch notes for the global PC release. Check that any invite claiming to be official matches this link or one posted on NC's own channels.

Is there an Aion 2 community Discord?

Yes. AION 2 Community, at discord.com/invite/aion2, is the largest player-run server. It's a good place for guides, class discussion and finding a legion. For your own legion's comms, you'll still want a separate server.

Does Aion 2 have voice chat?

Yes, inside a party. The party panel has mic and speaker toggles, and in-game voice works per party. There's no evidence of voice that covers a whole force or legion, which is why legions run their comms on Discord.

How many voice channels does an Aion 2 legion need?

Start with one shotcaller channel and four party channels with a user limit of 5. That covers one 20-player force. Add four more party channels for each extra force, plus a 10-player channel for Sanctuary raids.

How do I make my shotcaller heard in every party channel?

Use a voice relay bot. With ShotCaller, the shotcaller talks in one channel and every connected party channel hears them at the same time. Sign in with Discord on the dashboard, pick the channels and roles, invite the bots and type /start.

Do legion members need to install anything?

No. Members stay in their usual Discord party channel. The relay plays through a ShotCaller speaker bot in each channel, so nobody installs an app or changes settings.

How many members can an Aion 2 legion have?

Fan guides report legions can hold up to 128 members. NC hasn't published an official number, so check in-game for the current cap.

Can two allied legions share one shotcaller?

Yes. The ShotCaller Alliance plan relays one shotcaller to party channels on two Discord servers, with 24 speaker channels in total. The allied legion's server doesn't need its own subscription.

Set Up Your Legion's Voice

A clean Aion 2 legion Discord comes down to a few choices: party channels that match in-game parties, a locked shotcaller channel, clear roles, and a relay so every party hears the same call. Start with one force, run a siege, and add channels as the legion grows.
